- Meryl Streep is up for best actress in Iron Lady (duh)
- So is Viola Davis, for The Help
- Jonah Hill is up for best supporting actor for Moneyball … never thought I’d type “Jonah Hill” and “Best supporting actor” in the same sentence.
- Cars 2 wasn’t nominated, making it the first Pixar movie not to be nominated, much less not a shoo-in for the win. Shame on you and your merchandising cash grab, Pixar. Where is your soul?
