A little while ago, I tried doing something technical* that caused stories on this blog to be delayed in publishing by a half-day. This was in an attempt to make things better** but it didn’t work.***
At that time, I asked my subscribers to delete my old feed and sign up for my new one. Some people did, the new system didn’t work, it was lousy, I deleted it and reverted it back.
There are, however, one or two people still using the old “new” feed. This post is just to let you know that in 30 days, that feed will disappear forever from the internets. So if, in 60, 90, 120, 900 days, you realize that you haven’t heard from me in a while, just check back and see if you might be one of those couple of people who were kind enough to follow my instructions during the failed experiment, and just re-subscribe using that handy link over on the right.
I say all that to say this: nobody in their right mind would intentionally delay updates for a half-day and ruin the viewing experience of millions. Right?
*Converted my feed to Feedburner.
**Figure out what people liked and write more of that.
***Caused delayed posting, which was really not fun for anyone.
