“But you are… a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” — 1 Peter 2:9
How long do we have to do this? Combine this purpose (proclaiming his excellencies) with a solid memento mori (“remember you will die” — the fact that you could get hit by a bus tomorrow), and see if it doesn’t make you want to paint, preach, befriend, and write like crazy.
If this is what we’re here to do, and we don’t know how long we have to do it, shouldn’t we start doing it right away?
