Naïve design

I found this small piece of glossy paper included in a box here at work. I’m taking it home to pin it to my wall. It is the Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tree of design. Here’s what I love about it:

1. The randomly capitalized Y.

2. The weird paper size (it’s less than 1/4 of a page).

3. The huge line height.

4. The clinical use of condensed Univers.

5. The bottom-left alignment.

6. The missing period at the end.

This just feels like it was made in a total design vacuum, but with much tender love and care. It makes me VERY happy.

  1. Laughing. Now it all makes sense. And it gives a doubly good reason for it to hang on my wall. Thanks for investing a poorly designed packing slip with spiritual significance.
