I can’t tell if the new picture makes it look like you’re perched on a ladder outside my bedroom window all night…or if you’re just contemplative and somewhat cheery…
Which is why I told him to change it.
And change it I did! Although my photo now makes me look like a small monkey who’s bitten a particularly flavorful apricot.
I really like the new design! Especially the type for the titles. Just curious–what typeface is it?
Thanks, Carrie! I really appreciate that! There are two fonts at play here. The navigation is set in Mensch, from the amazing Lost Type Co-op (who work on a pay-what-you-want model, long may they live). The rest of the type on the page is set using TitilliumText Light, which I installed via the ever-useful FontSquirrel.
I’m trying to learn how to be more restrained in my design, so this is a first step. Glad it’s working for you so far!
In fact, I just double-checked my records and, yup, Titillium was a favorite of mine a long time ago. I haven’t had a chance to use it until now, so it’s nice to be able to showcase it now!
Back when I found it, I never thought I’d be able to drop in a few lines of code and use it as a webfont. Sometimes, progress can be pretty great.
Much better option. But there’s a small, balding rodent clinging to your chin…
