He should go back into the room with the door cracked until the people go past… so he can see who they are and hear what they’re saying.
I say just go willy-nilly toward the unknown voices.
Crouch in the shadows of the dark, foreboding hallway until he can discern who/what the mysterious figures are.
Climb into one of the ceiling panels and explore the ductwork.
All good ideas … but remember, if there isn’t a majority vote for one course of action, he’ll just stand there indecisively.
Cautiously approach the unknown figures. Could be friendly. And if so, perhaps they have a means to light up the dark hallway? Plus, people, no mater what their affiliation, are more likely to say something explaining what’s going on then a dark hallway.
Sweet voting! Between here and http://www.drunkduck.com/Should_I/ we have 2 votes for approaching the voices and two votes for hiding in the room and waiting for the voices to pass. Anyone want to be a tie-breaker? Or will our hero stand there in paralyzed indecision?
