Hollywood churns out lots of stuff you’ve seen before, so when I watch trailers, I’m not often that impressed. But in the past couple of days, I’ve raised my eyebrows to the new, potentially-iconic imagery in the new trailers for both Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman (not to be confused with that other, awful trailer for that other, awful Snow White adaptation).
Not to keep beating up on Disney (I love the studio, I really do!), but a glance the look for Prometheus vs John Carter or Snow White and the Huntsman vs any of the Narnia movies shows pretty quickly the difference a more courageous and original visual design can bring to the table.

did you seriously just kind of endorse a Kristen Stewart film.
Right, thank you. Important clarification needed here: I endorse the look and feel of that movie with the exception of the area between each of the main character’s chin and forehead. (Not a huge fan of Stewart, Theron, or Hemsworth.) But the LOOK of the movie is great.
