Just had lunch with a dude I’m getting to know at church. He’s a great guy, and this was our first time hanging out. After an hour of finding out various things about each other, we were heading to our cars, and I wanted to offer him a farewell. I thought I’d say, “Take care, man!” or “Take care, buddy!”
It came out, “Take care, manny!”
We may or may not hang out again, depending on whether he heard me or not.
